These images were shot in October 2003 but made it to the website only very recently. I spent several days in Kathmandu before and after a climbing expedition in the Khumbu Himalaya. Kathmandu is a tough place for someone used to order and silence... it is a buzzling place, packed with energy, and absolutely fascinating to discover on foot or with a rented bike (would not do that every day though ;-).
