We like to travel because it gives us the opportunity to see people with different lifestyles, habits, languages..., all those fundamental things we put under the umbrella of the term "culture". We like it even more, when what we see fits with the preconceived ideas, the cliches, we had before leaving home.
On the other hand, the more I travel the more I realise how quickly cultures converge and how predictive a first visit to a "developed" country can be. And more often than not, the border between authentic tradition and show for tourists is blurred.
